Slept at Colombian Airport

Colombia! Holy shit, I finally made it after 36 hours of rushing to catch my flight to Cancun. I crossed three borders all the way from Chiapas, MX to Cancun, MX. As a hitchhiker, it sucks to take a bus, but I had to do it since I was pressed for time. That happens when you never have a plan and just go with the flow.

Arriving at Bogotá Airport

But I made it, and now I'm in a new country and started off a bit shitty sadly. I didn't get a host in Bogotá, so I ended up sleeping at the airport. More accurately, I didn't sleep because the security guard doesn't allow anyone to lay down on the floor after 3:00 AM. I guess it's a fcking rule to keep homeless people like me from using the airport as a free hostel.

I did get a last minute host at Bogotá after arriving at 4:00 PM. But it got late fast since I decided to go get my Yellow Fever Shot for free at the hospital clinic which had a long waiting list of 100 people. This vaccine costed almost $120 USD at Mexico, but I read online that it's free here at the Bogotá Airport, so I took the risk, and it paid off big time at the cost of sleeping at the airport.

The next steps

Anyway, that's what's happened recently. I'm a little confused on what route to take at the moment, but I'll figure it out after chilling a week more in the city. I'm also waiting for my new backpack to be mailed from the U.S. so that's exciting too.

There's a lot to talk about, but I'll get my groove soon enough and try to blog weekly again and upload a video every Friday. I think it's totally doable.

The money here is so devalued by the way. It's at 3050 Colombian Pesos to $1.00 USD which is nuts lol. I don't even want to know how much the Venezuelan dollar is worth.
