Drugs and the Universe

This happened about a week ago. I smoked some good weed with the single intention of going deep in my consciousness and guess what? It happened lol. After having heard about Ayahuasca and how ceremonies are performed, I decided to try some of the techniques they practice.

Here's what I did

  • Put myself in a super chill vibe while swinging in my hammock
  • Played my favorite song that really got me connected and feeling
  • Smoked some good weed
  • Let go and cleared my mind

So with my mood and senses heightened, I started just going where ever the music and feeling takes me and I started exploring the universe in my head. I saw many layers of consciousness and at one point I felt like I was watching a cyriak video (youtube link), but it was much more chill and less weird.

An epiphany

I stumbled upon a realization that a strong connection with another human being happens when we somehow collide/intersect at that specific point of flow in consciousness. This is a bit difficult to explain since it's stretches your brain a bit. But in simple terms, we basically match frequencies/vibrations, which in my opinion, is way more intense than matching based on personalities/social programming.

I've had this happen to me with a girl I met from the UK, so I kinda know the feeling. It feels surreal and perfect. I also think that's what the ultimate reality is like all the time.

If there's another way to explain this feeling, it's through this Alan Watts quote and I think this is what you feel when you finally wake up from the illusion of who you think you are.

Imagine a multidimensional spider's web in the early morning covered with dew drops. And every dew drop contains the reflection of all the other dew drops. And, in each reflected dew drop, the reflections of all the other dew drops in that reflection. And so ad infinitum. That is the Buddhist conception of the universe in an image. ~ Alan Watts

Bonus Question

I'm not sure if I even have enough readers to start up a conversation, but this post got me asking a question out of complete curiosity:

How do drugs work exactly?

Yes, I understand the science part, but I kinda want to know how it affects energy. My guess is that it deprograms us temporarily and heightens our senses in a way that it forces us to traverse deep into our consciousness and true nature. I personally use it to explore it like a tunnel and going deep in it but still keeping tabs of which tunnel I'm traversing. I'm curious about what everyone else thinks.
